Hannafore Cottage is our favourite for couples looking for a romantic break with a hot tub. Easy-going and full of charm, it has two bedrooms, a private deck with its own hot tub, a Ninja BBQ and outdoor seating for long evenings outside.

Lerryn Lodge, with an outdoor copper bath

Lerryn Lodge sleeps up to four in two bedrooms, so there's plenty of room for two. Its private deck has an outdoor copper bath and shower, perfect for a soak under the stars, and inside you'll find a bright open-plan living space and cosy infrared heating.

Planning a trip with friends? Our Cardinham lodges sleep up to six with an outdoor copper bath, and Lanreath Cottage sleeps six with its own hot tub.

Romantic breaks with a hot tub

Few things say romance like a private hot tub on a cold, clear night. All three of our cottages have their own hot tub on a private deck or garden, with a Jacuzzi CLEARRAY system that uses less energy and fewer chemicals.

Prefer something different? Our lodges have an outdoor copper bath instead, a quieter, more sustainable soak for two. Whichever you choose, there's no timetable and no sharing: just the two of you, the stars and the sound of the countryside.

Travelling with your dog? Every lodge and cottage is dog friendly, so your four-legged friend can come along for the coast path walks too.

Romantic things to do in Cornwall

Walk the coast path together

The South West Coast Path between Looe and Polperro is one of the most romantic walks in Cornwall, with sea views, wildflowers and hidden coves. Stop at Talland Bay for a crab sandwich, then carry on to Polperro's tiny harbour.

Find a hidden cove

For sandy beaches without the crowds, Lansallos Beach is a secluded cove just 3 miles from The Vale, with a little waterfall at the back. Lantic Bay, near Polruan, has pale sand and clear water. See our guide to the best beaches in Cornwall.

Dinner by the harbour

Explore Fowey and Polperro

Wander Fowey's narrow streets and independent shops, take the little ferry to Polruan, or lose yourselves in Polperro's lanes of whitewashed cottages.

A vineyard afternoon

Looe Valley Vineyard near St Keyne offers tours and tastings from Easter to October, a relaxed way to spend an afternoon together.

Day trips to the north coast

For a longer adventure, head to North Cornwall. St Ives, around 1 hour 20 minutes away, has golden sands, galleries and cobbled streets, while the fishing village of Port Isaac, around an hour away, is perfect for a seafood lunch with sea views. Drive home along the coast and you'll be back at The Vale in time for a sunset soak.
